World’s longest
running London musical, Les Miserables is running with packed houses at the
magnificent Queens theatre! The show is adapted from the famous Victor Hugo's
epic original novel, Les Misérables. From the past three decades, the show is
ruling the box office and loved by theatre lovers across the globe.
Trevor Nunn and
John Caird have originally adapted and directed the show, whereas the musical
has lyrics penned by Herbert Kretzmer. Les Miserables still going strong as it
features stunning Set design by John Napier, costume design by Andreane
Neofitou, lighting design by David Hersey and sound design by Mick Potter and
Andrew Bruce. The London West End production has retained the original
choreography and staging, whereas Broadway had some revival like vamped-up
video design and no revolving stage.
One of the major
highlights of the show is that Les Miserables is performed by some of
the brilliant actors like Sierra Boggess, Danielle Hope, Alfie Boe, Ramin
Karimloo, Carrie Hope Fletcher, Rachelle Ann Go and Eva Noblezada.
Les Miserables
made its grand debut in the year 1985 and opened with lukewarm reviews. The
show was transferred from the Barbican to the Palace Theatre, and finally
settled at the Queen's Theatre. The three hours long show is a complete audio
visual treat and set against the backdrop of the simmering French revolution

story of Les Misérables revolves around the
plight of ex-convict Jean Valjean and his struggles. The show is based on a
popular and mesmerising book featuring musical treat by talented duo Alain
Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg. The award winning London musical features
some heart touching chartbusting numbers including "I Dreamed a
Dream", "On My Own", "Stars", "Bring Him
Home", "Do You Hear the People Sing?", "Master of the
House", "A Little Fall of Rain" and the show-stopping "One
Day More".
The Current
casting of Les Miserables features Killian Donnelly as John Valjean, Jeremy
Secomb as Javert, Steven Meo as Thénardier, Paul Wilkins as Marius, Carley
Stenson as Fantine, Karis Jack as Eponine, Jacqueline Tate as Madame
Thénardier, Hyoie O'Grady as Enjolras and Charlotte Kennedy as Cossette. The
award winning show is recommended for7+ kids.
