Queen’s Theatre London

The classic London show is recommended for kids above 7 because of its subject matter. The popular award winning musical Les Miserables, also known as ‘Les Mis’ has become one of the world’s longest running musical. The show is still hugely enjoyed by theatre lovers and certainly one of the favourites in London’s West End.
In the year 1985, Les Mis made its debut with lukewarm reviews. However, after being transferred to the Barbican theatre and then to the Queen’s theatre, the show became a huge hit. The popular show is adapted from the epic Victor Hugo’s French novel. The heart touching saga is set against the Revolutionary France and revolves around the plight of convict Jean Valjean. With its colourful mix of characters that are being etched from every part of society, the show has some mesmerizing score by Alain Boublil with lyrics by Claude Michel Schonberg. Some of the chartbusting musical numbers of the show are ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, ‘On My Own’ and ‘Bring Him Home’.
The award winning London musical has witnessed performances from some of the talented cast such as Sierra Boggess, Danielle Hope, Alfie Boe and Ramin Karimloo. With its powerful saga, soul-stirring songs and spectacular production, the show is a must watch for people of all age groups.
The popular Queen’s Theatre is located on the Shaftesbury Avenue. This is one of the most visited streets for theatre as abode of some of the renowned theatres. The venue has wonderful options for eating, drinking and entertainment, whereas nearby Soho features huge network of bars and restaurants. Chinatown is also located at a walking distance from the theatre renowned for lip smacking Chinese eateries.
Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus are also located at walking distance from the theatre. You can also take a stroll around Covent Garden featuring wide array of shops, museums and theatres. The popular theatre is positioned at an easily accessible location and can be commuted via various modes of commutations such as buses, tubes, taxis and cars.

For those who are planning to visit the theatre via tubes need not worry as the nearest station is Piccadilly Circus. You can also visit the theatre via bus route numbers 14, 19, 22B, 38, 53, 88, 94 and 159.  You can also hire a taxi or drive a car as nearest car park to the theatre is on Brewer Street a 2 minute walk away, and costs £26.00 for 4 hours parking.
